Getting in touch

When you submit a project inquiry or request a website check, the data you provide is used to process your request. This includes your name and email address, as well as any details you add about your company, phone, website and project.

Inquiries are stored in a protected area of the website. On the published website, an email notification may also be sent to Jalves. The details are not published on the website or used for a newsletter.

If you contact us directly by email or phone, the information you provide is also used to handle your request.

Technical operation and protection against misuse

Accessing a website generates technical connection data. This may include the IP address, time, requested address and information about the browser and operating system. This data supports operation, error analysis and security.

The inquiry forms validate entries and limit the number of requests over short periods. Temporary counters are used for this purpose; the email address is converted into an identifier that is not directly readable.

In this version, the public website uses no analytics or marketing cookies. Your chosen page colour is stored per address in your browser for the current session. This display preference is not sent to WordPress. Technically necessary cookies are used to sign in to the WordPress administration area.

Cookies and browser storage

The website uses no analytics or marketing services. The security cookie jalves_verified is valid for the browser session; its server-side proof lasts up to eight hours. Your chosen page colour and the status of the short intro sequence are stored in the browser for the current session.

When you acknowledge the cookie notice, your browser stores that confirmation under jalves:notice:v1 for up to 180 days. Page colour, the intro sequence and notice acknowledgement are not sent to WordPress. You can delete this storage in your browser’s site data settings. Details are always available via “Cookies” in the footer.

Cloudflare Turnstile

We use Cloudflare Turnstile to protect against automated access and abusive inquiries. A verification component from Cloudflare is loaded for this purpose. Technical browser and connection data is sent to Cloudflare for checking. The verification proof is then checked on the server.

After successful verification, a technically necessary session cookie named jalves_verified is set. It contains a random identifier. The associated server-side proof is valid for up to eight hours; the cookie is intended for the current browser session. Forms are not submitted without valid proof.

Fonts, images and external websites

The font files are served locally with this website. In this version, no third-party content is embedded for fonts, videos or maps. Project images are served with the website.

When you open an external link, the privacy information of that website’s operator applies.

Retention

Information relating to an inquiry is retained for as long as it is needed to process it and for any resulting collaboration. Statutory retention obligations remain reserved. You can contact Jalves directly with questions about retaining or deleting your details.

Your rights

You may request information about the data processed about you, as well as its correction or deletion, unless legal obligations prevent this. Please contact info@jalves.ch.
